Abstract

The hypopigmented scars are clinically benign disorders but these psychological and social problems are often malignant.
We treated the hypopigmented scar with dermabrasion and autologous epidermal grafting using the roof of suction blisters. We applied this method to 3 patients with the hypopigmented scar on the face or hand. Successful repigmentation and smooth
surface
were achieved without complications such as milia, inclusion cyst and hypertrophic scar on the recipient site and scarring on the donor site Depigmentation didn't recur postoperatively.
Autologous epidermal grafting after dermabrasion appears to be a good surgical treatment for the hypopigmented scar.
